Beginning from 17 July 2007 my life changed because we got thirteen Swedish volunteers who started giving us mortar, sand and bricks as we were constructing a three classroom block at Bugema in Uganda.
During the exchange we visited some good places like Bujagali falls and the source of the Nile where I saw rafting. We also went to the western part of Uganda and visited Queen Elizabeth National Park where I saw birds and animals like a lion.
Long days with much light
On 22 July it was a happy day for me. I sat in an Ethiopian Airline airplane and flew from Uganda to Sweden. It was so nice. In Sweden I found that it was so cold and it was raining every day. The sun was rising very early while light was there up to 11:00 p.m. We went to bed very late and woke up very late.
The type of building in Sweden is very good. They build a small house when it has an upper room and they use mostly timber and stone. A big site in Uganda may have 30 builders but only four may be required in Sweden because in Sweden they use machines. The type of food was nice and we ate a lot of fruits.
Visited many places
We visited some good places like Osjönäs where we had high and low level wire crossing and swimming. We visited supermarkets like BILTEMA and other places, where we bought some building materials. We went in the youth camp at Västeräng where we got many friends who would take us for swimming and sang good songs.
The last day we slept in Stockolm city which was built of stones. We got many things like clothes bags and laptops for our new started company. I thank Mr. and Mrs. Karlsson and others who made it possible for us to visit Sweden. May God bless you.
